Definition of ICT
Information and communication technology (ICT) includes all technologies related to the handling of information. This treatment includes the extraction, collection, processing, storage, distribution, and presentation of information. Thus, ICT is the technology associated with retrieval, collection, processing, storage, distribution, and presentation of information.
Judging from the wording, information and communication technology is composed of 3 (three) words, each of which has its own meaning. The first word, technology, meaning the development and application of tools, machines, materials and processes that help humans solve problems. The term technology often described the discovery of new tools that use the principles and processes of scientific discovery.
Said second and third, namely information and communication, is closely related to the data. Information means the result of processing, manipulating and organizing a group of data gives the value of knowledge (knowledge) for its users.
